REVRSE: Mixtape Cassette Studio
REVRSE Mixtape Studio is a small and indie studio where you can create your playlist on cassette tape. As music is easily accessible nowadays, go back in time to bring back the cassette tape is fascinating to experience and show appreciation to the creation; the project including the branding and initial three types of mix-tapes packaging based on music genres.
The pack indicates the identity and message of “REVRSE” to the listeners and emphasizes the imagery of sound waves. By combining the transition in music with the gradient effect represents each type of music.
With 3 main types of music, I use different colours to separate the packaging; as the indie is light pink beige, underground is dark navy and lo-fi is pastel green. Combining with the line-art indicating soundwaves, the overall layout and concept appear to be quite minimal, yet, eye catching.
